HARRIS GEORGE RAYMOND PUPSY Age 87, of Moon Twp., formerly of Columbia, SC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 10, 2014. He was born in McKees Rocks on June 11, 1927, a son of the late Michael and Anna (Balocz) Harris. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary (Walsnovich) Harris; father of George (Linda) Harris, MaryAnn (Bill) Shipley, Georgina (Greg) Banks, Audrey (Mark) Wingard, Adrian (Gerald) Stone and Samuel Harris; cherished grandfather of ten; and great-grandfather of seven; also surviving are his brothers, Nick and Sam Harris. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Kay Broskey and James and Bill Harris. George was a proud US Navy veteran, serving his country during WWII. He worked for Mulach Steel, where he retired and was a member of the United Steel Workers of America Local Union #16508 and Ironworkers Local #527. Friends will be received on Saturday from 6-8 p.m. and Sunday from 1-4 p.m., in the HUNTSMAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES OF MOON TWP. (1522 Coraopolis Hts. Rd.) A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret Mary Church, Moon Twp. Interment with military honors will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
