PETRAKOS NICHOLAS NICK Age 87, formerly of Dormont, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at Country Meadows of Bridgeville. Devoted son of the late George and Aphrodite Petrakos; beloved husband of the late Joanne Petrakos; loving and devoted father of Diane and her husband, Chronis Manolis; proud grandfather of Joanne Manolis; brother of Peter (Irene) Petrakos and the late Frances Kricos, and the late Angelo (the late Stella) Petrakos; brother-in-law of Athena (the late Nicholas) Kazalas and the late Jane (the late Thomas) Kouris; also survived by his nieces and nephews. Nick worked for the former Beechview Mantel and Tile Co. and was the former owner and operator of Ceramic Tile Sales in Bethel Park. He was a member and officer of the South Hills Kiwanis Club and a longtime member of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church and a former member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. He was also active in the AHEPA Organization for many years. Friends and family will forever cherish Nick's sense of humor and his love of making people laugh. Lebanon on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with Trisagion Service at 7 p.m., and again at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 123 Gilkeson Road, Mt. Lebanon on Friday morning from 9:00 until the time of his funeral service at 10:00. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cemetery, Allison Park.
