RONEY JOHN M. On Monday, September 8, 2014, age 88, of West View. Beloved husband of Becky (Dagg) Roney; father of John R. Roney; brother of the late Alex, Larry, Charles and George Roney; also survived by nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Athanasius Church on Thursday at 11 a.m. John was a member of V.F.W. #2754, West View. Served on the U.S.S. Idaho in the Philippines, Leyte Gulf and Okinawa. After his military service, John went to Triangle Tech for Drafting and worked at Allis Chalmers for 26 years.
