FARBER YETTA SLUTZKY Age 92 years old, peacefully in her sleep, on Sunday, September 7, 2014. Beloved wife of Seymour Farber; beloved mother of Janie (Edward) Moravitz, Alan I. Farber and Kathy (Nigel) Mills; daughter of the late Mollie and Isaac Slutzky; sister of the late Belle Shook, Max Slutzky, Ruben Slutzky, Morris Slutzky and Albert Slutzky; grandmother of Molly Singer Tomasi, Jonathan Glasser Dane, Jed Farber, David Farber, Jack Farber, Rebecca Mills and Oliver Mills; great-grandmother of Graham Cooper Tomasi and Harley Kate Tomasi. Yetta was born in the East End, lived in Squirrel Hill, Oakland and recently in Fox Chapel. She received a B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh and an M.Ed. from Duquesne University. She was a Kindergarten Teacher with the Pittsburgh Board of Public Education, 1967-1992. Yetta was an ardent, positive thinker who influenced her family and friends. She was loved by her family, friends, students, and all who knew her. The family would like to thank Laura, Cindy, Carol, and Paula for their loving care of Yetta. Services at RALPH SCHUGAR CHAPEL, INC., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside, on Monday, September 8, 2014, at 2 p.m. Visitation one hour prior to Services (1 -2 p.m.). Interment Beth Shalom Cemetery.
