TSUDIS ANGELO On Monday, April 28, 2014. Beloved husband of Semie Tsudis for 55 years; loving father of Peter Tsudis (Carol) and Mindy Markantone (Steve); dear grandfather of Mara and Evan Tsudis and Desiree and Emmanuel Markantone; brother of Jerry Tsudis of Detroit, MI, Malamo Countouris of Pittsburgh, and Spiro Tsudis (Marge) of Pittsburgh; also survived by beloved nieces and nephews. He graduated from University of Pittsburgh in 1951 with a B.S. in electrical engineering and served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953, developing and testing radar and missile programs. He was employed by Union Switch and Signal and WABCO and, later, in sales for Western Cullen Hayes. He served on the Governor's Council of Highway Crossing Safety and as a Founding Board Member for Operation Lifesaver. He was a Federal Lobbyist for Railroad Safety Standards and served for over 20 years on the Board of Railroad Progress Institute. He was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Friends will be received at JOHN A. FREYVOGEL SONS, INC., (freyvogelfuneralhome.com), 4900 Centre Avenue at Devonshire Street, Friday, May 2, 2014, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., with a Trisagion Service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral will be held Saturday at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral 11 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral Building Fund.
