
KRASMAN HELEN BARBARA (LABIK) Age 90, of Duquesne, was peacefully taken home by the Lord with her beloved daughter and friend, Mary Beth near her side, on Friday, April 11, 2014. Helen was born March 14, 1924, in Williamstown, PA, daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Gerenda) Labik. Husband to the late William George Krasman. Williamstown; loving mother to Mary Beth (Mark) Mattis of South Park, PA and William (Barbara) Krasman and Karen (Luther) Meyer; grandmother to Zachary and Jacob Mattis and Jordan Meyer; cherished sister-in-law to Elizabeth Betty Krasman of West Mifflin; along with nieces and nephews. Helen worked at U.S. Steel Corporation Duquesne Works in the Accounting department for 15 years. Helen was a very loving, caring, and kind person who dedicated decades of her life to many charitable activities including The Intersection meal center in McKeesport and Kane Hospital, where she received much recognition for outstanding volunteer service. Helen was blessed with many talents, including a beautiful choir singing voice, and playing the piano and organ. She loved to sketch pictures of flowers and people and write inspirational poetry. She greatly enjoyed music and crossword puzzles but most importantly loved to read her bible and pray for her family and people in need. Helen gave of herself in all that she did. She found gratification in feeding the sick and elderly and helping anyone that needed her. Her compassion for people was the angelic essence of her beautiful spirit.
