SMITH DOROTHY F. Age 92, of Pittsburgh, died February 25, 2014, in Tallahassee, FL. A Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2014, at St. John Capistran Catholic Church in Upper St. Claire. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brother's Brother Foundation, 1200 Galviston Ave., 15233, or the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 15120, Chicago, IL 60693. A native of Colton, WA, she lived in Pittsburgh since 1948. She was a woman of strong faith, stout heart, gentle spirit, and open arms. Survivors include children, Nancy (Thomas) Link, Joseph (Marla) Smith, Rosanne Cone, Sandra (Randy) Checca, and Bruce Smith; grandchildren, Sam (Dawn) Link, Shannon (Sean) Fox, Monica Smith, Ryan Smith, Jackie Atkinson, Carla McFadden, Aaron Kilhefner, Joy Checca, Alex Checca, and great- granddaughter, Emma Lynn Fox; she is also survived by her sister, Marlene (Jack) Ryan; numerous nieces and nephews, grandnieces and nephews.
