FORD FRANK BUTCH Friends and colleagues are invited to join the families of FranK Butch Ford (3/20/52- 2/25/14) and George Yeckel (1/16/25 - 9/29/13) for a Memorial Celebration of their loving partnership and lives on Thursday, March 20, 2014, at 1:30 p.m., Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, 509 Washington Road, Pittsburgh, PA. Butch and George, two very different individuals united by a deep devotion to each other. Butch was a beloved, award-winning figure skating coach and teacher who wrote poetry, designed costumes and created stunning floral arrangements. George had a distinguished career as a hospital administrator, heading Menorah Medical Center in Kansas City, then the South Hills Health System in Pittsburgh. He was famous for his kindness, his cheesecake, his volunteer work on behalf of the LBGQT community, and his passion for cross-country road trips. Butch is survived by daughter, Angela Ford Read; and grandson, Benjamin. George is survived by his three children, Judith Yeckel, Jeff Yeckel and Lisa Allen; and his six grandchildren.
