KARNS JEANEEN A. (LISAK) Of Turtle Creek, age 69, on Wednesday, February 7, 2018. Beloved wife of Ralph W. Karns for 51 years; devoted mother of Lisa (Tom) Payne of North Huntingdon, Ralph J. (Carly) Karns of Plum, and the late Jason W. Karns; treasured grandmother of Cameron and Alexa Payne, Emmalee, Addison and Lucy Karns. Jeaneen was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Dorothy (Demmer) Lisak; and her sister, Marianne (surviving spouse, Larry) Schamus; aunt of Larry (Erika) Schamus, Bryan Schamus, and Mark (Tricia) Jacobs; great-aunt of twin sisters, Fiona and Aubrielle Schamus; sister-in-law of Patty (Ed) Jacobs; also survived by her grand-dogs, Holly Bear, Ruger, Heena, and Gypsy; and many wonderful friends. Jeaneen earned her Registered Nurse certification from Allegheny County Community College, Boyce Campus. She became employed at Montefiore Hospital, mostly on the Orthopedics floor. After the merger with UPMC, Jeaneen served in the same-day Surgery Department at UPMC-Presbyterian until her retirement with 35 years of patient care. Full of class and grace, Jeaneen shined brighter than anyone. She dedicated countless hours celebrating her life with her family. She enjoyed vacationing and soaking up the sunshine surrounded by those she loved. Selfless, caring, and genuine are just a few words to describe her. She truly was the heart and soul of her family. It may be said that no one is perfect, but Jeaneen was the absolute closest thing to it. Friends are welcome on Monday from 2-8 p.m. at PATRICK T.
