EMILI SHIRLEY A. Age 79, of Latrobe, died on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg. She was born on August 21, 1934, in Latrobe, a daughter of the late James H. Goldberg and Aileen M. (Dean) Goldberg. Shirley was a member of the Ligonier Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and the Century Club. She was a wonderful baker and a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman P. Emili; one son, Richard Emili; four brothers, Larry, Allen, Melton, and Barry Goldberg; and two sisters, Lois Marafioti and Phyllis Goldberg. Shirley is survived by three sons, Deno Emili and his wife Mary of Pittsburgh, Phillip Emili and his wife Amy of Jeannette, and Matthew Emili of Pittsburgh; three brothers, John Goldberg of Latrobe, Leonard Goldberg of Greensburg, and Harry Goldberg of Pleasant Unity; two sisters, Mollie Petrillo of Jeannette and Roslyn Goldberg of Latrobe; four grandchildren, Justine, Carson, Anthony, and Tanner; and she is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. There will be no public visitations. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting contributions be made to the Ligonier Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Attn: Special Missionary Fund, 4166 State Route 711, Ligonier, PA 15658.
