FATTAL FLORENCE Age 100, formerly of Beaver Falls, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017 at the Reformed Presbyterian Home in Pittsburgh where she resided. She was born and raised in Latakia, Syria and came to the United States in 1958. She graduated from Geneva College, Beaver Falls in 1962 with majors in English and Bible. In 1964 she received her M.A. degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh where she continued to advance her degree to 12 hours short of a Ph.D. Florence devoted her entire life to the Reformed Presbyterian Church as a deaconess for 15 years, treasurer and various other church affiliated organizations. Miss Fattal was employed as an Assistant Librarian at Geneva College for nearly 27 years, where she volunteered for nine years after her retirement in 1991. Friends will be received Monday from Noon until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. in the HILL AND KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, hillandkunselman.com 3801 Fourth Avenue, College Hill, Beaver Falls, her friend and pastor, Bruce Backensto, will officiate.
