SCHATZEL MICHAEL C. Affectionately nicknamed Kitty Pap Pap, age 61, of Freedom, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family. Born November 8, 1955 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Alcuin and Henrietta White Schatzel. Mike was an avid coin collector and enjoyed going fishing. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Michael S. Schatzel and his fiancée, Erin, Jamie Lynn (Ben) Clapperton and Amber L. (Brad) Kidd; his grandchildren, Olivia R. Schatzel, Ethan R. Clapperton, Brianna E. Kidd, Mason R. Kidd and Colton E. Kidd; his brothers, Alcuin and Anthony Schatzel; and his sisters, Carolyn Baehr, Anna Mae Jones, Marilyn Caul, Kathy Gordon and Diane Bisesi. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Ryan C. Schatzel. Friends will be received 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the BOYLAN-GLENN- KILDOO FUNERAL HOME, INC., 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Twp., PA 16066. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 4, 2017 at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, 2535 Rochester Rd., Cranberry Twp., PA 16066.
