WELSH REGIS J., Jr. Of East Pittsburgh, age 57, died on Thursday, July 27, 2017. Beloved son of the late Regis J., Sr. and Mary (Rossetti) Welsh. Rege cherished his cousins, Della (Ed) Dobranski, Sean (Jill) Welsh, Terra (Kevin) Hartzfled, the late Terry (surviving spouse, Mary Lou) Welsh, and the late William Welsh. Rege earned his Bachelor's and his Master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh and became an Adjunct Professor in Pitt's English Department. He was a voracious reader who collected hundreds of books. Rege also cared for his aging parents and attended to other family and friends who were in need of help, conversation, or just some friendly companionship. He was genuinely concerned about the well-being of others and instantly beamed joy to those he met. Friends are welcome on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at PATRICK T.
