TESSARO RICHARD RICHIE T. Richard Richie T. Tessaro, died in Tequesta, FL after a sudden illness on Sunday, July 23, 2017. He was 71. Born to Betty (Smith) and William Tessaro on February 20, 1946, he grew up in Greensburg, PA where he began his career in the restaurant business. He moved to Pittsburgh, PA where he was the founder and original owner of Tessaro's in Bloomfield, and the City Grill on the South Side of Pittsburgh. He was well known for his hardwoodgrill style of cooking. He is survived by his devoted wife, Margaret (Popp); children, Philip and Cristina; stepchildren, Robert (Nichole) Demski and Lisa (Ronald) Keys; along with grandsons, Chase, Chad, Luke, and Connor who so loved and enjoyed their Pap Pap. He will be sorely missed, but always remembered as the rock of his family, a good friend, and a man whose faith had prepared him for God's plan. A memorial Mass is planned for 1:30 p.m. on Friday, August 4, 2017, at St. Jude Church, followed by a reception at Turtle Creek Club, both in Tequesta. Send condolences post-gazette.com/gb
