VORON WILLIAM BILL C. Age 95, of Lincoln Place, died peacefully with family by his side on July 25, 2017. He recently celebrated 76 years of marriage with his wife, Irene Madak Voron. Father of Bill (Beverly) Voron of Johnson City, Texas, Jerry (Penny Nicoll) Voron of Level Green, Kathy (Dave) Shapiro of Ingram, and Dan (Cecilia) Voron of Gilbert, Arizona; grandfather of Ted, Leila, Chris, Corrine, Josh, Jason, Ed, Anissa, Brianna, Andrea and Emma; great-grandfather of Alex, Avery, Dalton, Cohen, Quinn, Silas and Ayla; great-great- grandfather of Kora; brother of John Voron and the late Michael Voron, and the late Mary Natale; son of Mary and Michael Voron. Bill grew up in McKeesport and married at age 19. He enlisted in the Army during World War II and served our country for almost four years in the Pacific Theater. After the war, he began working as a draftsman at U.S. Steel and worked his way up to become a civil engineer. An avid golfer, Bill was known to play up to 27 holes when he was well into his 80's. He loved to watch and talk about all kinds of sportsespecially football. However, his true passion was studying the scriptures and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 30, 2017, from 6-8 p.m. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh 15236. Services will be held in the Jefferson Memorial Chapel on Monday, July 31, 2017, at 10 a.m., with interment immediately following the service. The family would like to thank the nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains and durable medical equipment staff of Allegheny Health Network Health Care At Home who provided such great care and service to Bill.
