BONGIOVANNI CARL A. Carl Anthony Bongiovanni, 59, passed away suddenly the morning of January 26, 2017. He attended Fox Chapel Area High School, where he played football. He continued his education at Denison University in Granville, OH, class of 1979. Upon graduation, he joined the family business, Bon Tool Company, which his father started in 1958 and that his son, John, will continue to run. He will always be remembered for his genuine kindness, generosity, humble nature, and warm heart. He was an active member of the Pittsburgh Field Club where he enjoyed playing golf with his many golf buddies. He was also a member of the Pittsburgh chapter of the YPO/WPO organization and the Duquesne Club. Carl spent many evenings on his front porch sharing words of wisdom with his children, their friends, and his friends. He loved taking walks in the woods with his dog. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was so proud to have become a grandfather in the last few months. He is survived by his wife, Jean (Romualdi); his son, John (wife Katie); his daughters, Dana (husband Brian) Werner and Emily; his grandsons, Colton Bongiovanni and Henry Werner; his parents, Carl and Natalie; his sisters, Michele (husband John) Bender and Paula (husband John) Wight; many nieces and nephews, and countless friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made the Pittsburgh North Optimist Foundation, 208 9th Street, Aspinwall, PA 15215. Visitation Thursday 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. at NEELY FUNERAL HOME, 2208 Mt.
