JONES IRENE (MATHAS) Age 89, of Monroeville, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, November 19, 2013. Beloved wife for 55 years to the late Roy E. Jones; loving mother of Bonnie (David) Zaccari of Greensburg and Penny (Ken) Hunt of Monroeville; grandmother of Beth Zaccari of Greensburg, DJ (Janis) Zaccari of Darlington, Kevin (Cari Romano) Hunt of Hudson, MA, and Sara (Andy) Smith of West Chester; great-grandmother to Charlotte and Savannah Smith. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Murcek, Eleanor Taylor, Dorothy Baklarz; and her brother, George Mathas; along with her mother and father, Elizabeth and George Mathas; also survived by many nieces and nephews, and their families. Irene enjoyed knowing her church members, friends, neighbors, and those in the High Hopes bowling league, and was involved in many church, school and community functions during her life. She was employed by the Gateway School District, and then was an administrative secretary for Westinghouse Nuclear Center in Monroeville for many years before she retired. Friends will be received Sunday 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE / PLUM CHAPEL) corner of (445) Beatty Rd. & 48 North, Monroeville (412-856-4747).
