
LAMB RUTH L. Ruth, 95, of Midway, died Tuesday, June 2, 2015, in Country Meadows Nursing Center. She was born May 24, 1920, in Primrose, a daughter of that late William O. and Lillian (Hinds) Cagnon. Mrs. Lamb was a member of Center U.P. Church where she previously served as a Deacon and was a member of the C.U.P. Dartball team. She was also a member of the Midway Senior Citizens where she served as Treasurer and also enjoyed traveling, playing cards and bingo and going to the casino. Surviving are her children, John Edward Lamb, Jr. of West Virginia, Betty Lou Lamb of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Ronald (Michele) Svihla, Robert Svihla, Richard (Tracy) Svihla, Eddie (Gina) Lamb, Elizabeth (Stevan) Brannare, John Edward (Regina) Lamb III; great-grandchildren, Kayla and Harley Svihla, Amanda Toner, Cheyenne, Dillon, Tyler, Devin and Sydney Svihla, Zack Lamb, Emma and Anna Bannare; great-great-grandchild, Bradly Wallace. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Lamb, Sr., whom she married on August 27, 1938; daughter, LaVerne M. Svihla (May 13, 2014); brothers and sisters, Merle, Charles, John and Joe Cagnon, Grace Gilbert, Hester Bain, and Elsie Ortoski. Friends will be received Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the THOMAS-LITTLE FUNERAL SERVICE, INC., 106 St. John Street, Midway (724-796-3301). A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Center U.P. Church, 110 Washington Avenue, Midway. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH.
