BAUER DR. AMBERSON C., JR., DMD, AMBY Age 72, of Butler, PA, passed away Sunday. Amby graduated from Allegheny College with honors and went on to study at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated from in 1968 with Magna Cum Laude honors. Following dental school, he completed his advanced graduate degree in Orthodontia at Boston University. Amby was a partner with Bauer Mascia Orthodontics and had practices in Butler, Kittanning, Leechburg, Zelienople and Cranberry Twp. He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn (Beatty) Bauer; sons, Dr. Brad L. Bauer, DMD and wife, Kelly, of Butler, Dr. Jeffrey C. Bauer, DMD and wife, Gretchen, of Okatie, SC, and Amberson C. Bauer III and wife, Anne, of Oakmont; eight grandchildren; brother, Jack Bauer and wife, Sue, of Kittanning; and sister, Ann Buechli and husband, Henry, of Oakmont. Friends and family will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at the BAUER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC.,515 N. McKean St., Kittanning. Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at the funeral home.
